Kannada Department established in the year 1984. Since from the inception many eminent faculty members have served in this department with great knowledge and teaching skills. The department members are actively involved in different committees to enrich the standard of institution.

The department has started a Kannada Forum named ‘Kannada Bharathi’. The forum is conducting the activities regularly by inviting subject experts to give special lectures on different topics. The department organised educational tour to enrich the knowledge of the students. The department will ensure that the students and teachers co-ordination in entire curriculum by conducting workshops , seminars, group discussion, literary competition and screening movies.

Department students are active and dynamic. They participate in many debate/elocution competitions. Department results are excellent. Maximum number of the students passed with distinction and first class. Many alumnus of the department are perusing M.A, P.hd, B.Ed. Alumnus of the department are serving as teachers, lawyers and Govt. Officials.

The department will be having great opportunity to interact with students from all programme. The institution is making all sorts of efforts to achieve its noble mission of providing value based education to the socially and economically deprived rural students at affordable cost.
